Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology experience for a fully remote position. You'll assign ICD/CPT codes for CT, Ultrasound and other radiology modalities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. CPC in active status is required, with CPC-A accepted if radiology experience is at least 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent with formal training in medical coding principles.
• Active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA etc. certification with AHIMA or AAPC.
• Six months coding experience, preferably in radiology.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with coding software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes per guidelines.
• Consult with providers to clarify missing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA, and corporate standards.
• Compile daily/monthly reports for analysis and auditing.
• Work independently with remote support and guidance as needed.
