Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology coding experience for a fully remote role. The position requires an active CPC credential and 6 months of coding history, with the ability to code CT, Ultrasound and other radiology modalities.

Remote work is supported nationwide, with flexible hours during 7am–7pm local time and access to Banner Health resources. Ideal candidates will have prior experience coding radiology and be comfortable working independently within Banner

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent; or an Associate’s degree in a related health care field.
• Requires active CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA, or RHIT certification.
• At least six months of professional coding experience with radiology preferred.
• Solid knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes for radiology services.
• Consult with providers to clarify missing information for accurate coding.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and other coding guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the electronic medical record system.
• Produce daily/Monthly reports as assigned.
