You will lead the implementation and testing of cryptographic algorithms using Python, C++, and Java, with a focus on post-quantum cryptography migration in alignment with NIST PQC standards. The ideal candidate has 10+ years IT experience with quantum cryptography, hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, and related tools, and can communicate quantum risk to non-technical

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with quantum computing/cryptography.
• Experience in large orgs or government agencies similar in size to GSA/IRS/DoD/VA.
• Master’s degree may substitute up to 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test cryptographic algorithms in Python, C++, and Java.
• Advise on quantum-resistant migration plans and PQC strategies.
• Assess cryptographic inventory and migration priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explain quantum risk to leadership.
• Provide policy inputs aligning cryptographic modernization with NIST PQC standards (FIPS 203–205).
