Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to monitor, evaluate, and improve operational performance, ensuring quality standards and contractual requirements are met in a fully remote US role.

The specialist will conduct audits, analyze performance data, and support corrective actions to enhance service quality. Collaboration with leadership, training teams, and support staff will be essential to maintain quality program goals and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in quality assurance, quality control, compliance monitoring, auditing, operations analysis, process improvement, or performance management.
• Experience conducting audits, quality reviews, and monitoring to evaluate compliance with quality standards, policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate operational data, identify trends, assess performance gaps, determine root causes, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing, interpreting, and presenting routine and ad hoc performance reports to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans to address quality concerns and improve overall program performance.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, leadership, trainers, and operational staff to support quality initiatives and process improvements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies, gaps, and risks with accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and communicate recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits for the quality assurance program to ensure quality metric requirements are met.
• Collaborate in developing new procedures and update existing procedures when changes occur.
• Analyze reports on operational performance and provide solutions to identified issues.
• Analyze and develop routine and ad hoc reports on project performance, and research and suggest solutions to identified issues.
• Conduct monitoring activities and audits for quality assurance and to support project effectiveness.
• Analyze quality program data to identify trends and develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Assist with monitoring performance and meeting contractual requirements using system applications.
• Assist in the production and update of staff resource materials including knowledge management system, quick reference guides, matrices, charts, and workflows.
• Assist with staff training to achieve and maintain quality program goals.
• Analyze effectiveness of key initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
