Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to monitor, evaluate, and improve operational performance in a fully remote capacity for U.S.-based projects. You will conduct quality audits, analyze performance data, and support corrective actions to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of professional quality assurance experience.
• Three or more years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance monitoring, auditing, operations analysis, process improvement, or performance management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate operational data, identify trends, assess performance gaps, determine root causes, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing, interpreting, and presenting routine and ad hoc performance reports to support operational decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans to address quality concerns and improve overall program performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, leadership, trainers, and operational staff to support quality initiatives and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits for the quality assurance program to ensure that quality metric requirements of the project are being met.
• Collaborate in developing new procedures and update existing procedures when changes occur.
• Analyze reports on operational performance and provide solutions to identified issues.
• Analyze and develop routine and ad hoc reports on project performance, and research and suggest solutions to identified issues.
• Conduct monitoring activities and audits for quality assurance purposes and to support the effective functioning of the project.
• Analyse quality program data to identify trends and to develop and implement corrective action plans as appropriate.
• Assist with monitoring performance and meeting contractual requirements using system applications.
• Assist in the production and update of staff resource materials including knowledge management system, quick reference guide, matrices, charts, and workflows.
• Assist with staff training for the purpose of achieving and maintaining quality program goals.
• Analyze effectiveness of key initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
