Job summary

Zippy, a remote-first mortgage company focused on manufactured housing, is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to lead pre-close and post-close QA across the loan origination lifecycle. You will manage QA analysts, calibrate reviews, and ensure findings align with policy, regulatory, and investor requirements.

You will partner with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, and Risk to reduce repeat findings, improve throughput, and strengthen quality while preserving efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mortgage, consumer lending or related financial services with QA/quality control.
• 3+ years direct people-management experience.
• Experience overseeing both pre‑close and post‑close quality reviews.
• Strong investigative and research skills across multiple systems.
• Ability to translate QA data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of QA professionals for pre‑close and post‑close loan reviews.
• Monitor quality controls, calibration sessions, and escalation of disputed findings.
• Oversee QA reviews across the full loan origination process and ensure policy/regulatory alignment.
• Use data to identify root causes, improve procedures, and increase throughput without sacrificing quality.
• Collaborate with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, Credit Risk, Technology, and other stakeholders.
