Job summary

Zippy, a fully online manufactured home loan lender, seeks a Manager of Quality Assurance to lead pre-close and post-close QA for the loan origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance, ensure policy compliance, and escalate risks.

This remote-first role requires deep knowledge of mortgage origination and strong cross-functional collaboration across Compliance, Underwriting, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, underwriting, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or a comparable financial services function.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, training, workload planning, and employee development.
• Experience overseeing both pre-close and post-close quality reviews strongly preferred.
• Strong investigative and research skills across multiple systems to reconcile information and document conclusions.
• Ability to translate QA data into actionable insights for managers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of QA professionals responsible for pre-close and post-close loan reviews.
• Manage performance concerns, documentation of expectations, and development plans.
• Assess training needs and arrange or deliver calibration, mentoring, and development opportunities.
• Oversee QA reviews across the full loan origination process and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor quality controls by tracking findings, investor issues, and calibration outcomes.
• Escalate material risks and track corrective actions to resolution.
• Develop efficient, repeatable QA workflows across systems and tools.
• Lead weekly QA review meetings with cross-functional managers.
• Translate QA findings into concise insights for leadership.
• Partner with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, Credit Risk, and Technology.
