Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to oversee pre-close and post-close loan reviews across the origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance, and ensure findings align with policy, regulatory, and investor requirements.

The role requires deep expertise in loan origination, risk identification, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, remote-first setting. The team focuses on reducing repeat findings, strengthening controls, and improving process

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, underwriting, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or a comparable financial services function.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, training, workload planning, and employee development
• End-to-end loan origination lifecycle expertise with ability to evaluate a complete loan file
• Experience overseeing both pre-close and post-close quality reviews preferred
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and investor requirements to complex scenarios
• Strong investigative and research skills across multiple systems, reconciling information and documenting conclusions
• Manage disputes and escalations objectively; communicate conclusions professionally
• Strong analytical skills using findings and metrics to drive improvements
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to operate proactively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Manufactured housing or specialty finance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement to reduce repeat findings and improve throughput.
