Job summary

House Buyers of America is seeking a Purchasing Manager to bid, manage and negotiate all contracts for our home renovations. This role oversees purchasing, develops scopes of work and recruits contractors and vendors. This is a 100% remote position.

You will manage contracts, track budgets, source products, and partner with senior management to set specs. A 5+ year purchasing background with a home builder or remodeling company is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder and remodeling company.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bid out and manage all contracts, submit invoices, track project budgets and work with Field Managers to ensure contractors are performing work per the contract.
• Negotiate the lowest cost possible and source newer products to lower costs and improve quality/aesthetic appeal of renovations.
• Partner with senior management to determine spec levels.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and budgets for each renovation job.
• Manage, train and fire General contractors and subcontractors.
• Recruit new contractors and vendor relationships, ensuring proper registration before starting jobs.
