Job summary

House Buyers of America is seeking a Purchasing Manager to bid, manage, and negotiate all contracts for our home renovations. You will oversee purchasing, develop detailed scopes of work, recruit new contractors/vendors, and manage budgets for each renovation project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder/remodeling company.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bid out and manage all contracts, submit invoices, track project budgets and work with Field Managers to ensure contractors perform as per contract.
• Negotiate the lowest cost possible and source new products to lower costs and improve quality/appearance of renovations.
• Partner with senior management to determine spec levels.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and budgets for each renovation job.
• Manage, train and fire General contractors and subcontractors.
• Recruit new contractors and vendor relationships through networking and cold calls; ensure contractors are properly registered.
