Job summary

House Buyers of America is seeking a Purchasing Manager to bid, manage and negotiate all contracts for our home renovations. This role oversees purchasing scopes of work and recruiting contractors and vendors, with a 100% remote setup.

You will manage budgets, source products, and collaborate with senior management on specs. Requires 5+ years in purchasing for a major home builder/remodeler, Bachelor's degree, and strong MS Office skills; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder and remodeling company.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bid out and manage all contracts, submit invoices, track project budgets and work with Field Managers to ensure contractors are performing work per the contract.
• Negotiate the lowest cost possible and creatively source newer products to lower costs and improve quality/aesthetic appeal of renovations.
• Partner with senior management to determine spec levels.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and budgets for each renovation job.
• Manage, train and fire General contractors and subcontractors.
• Recruit new contractors and vendor relationships; ensure contractors are properly registered prior to starting jobs.
