Job summary

Mark43 is hiring a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to join a brand-new team building configurable reports for expanding into new markets and jurisdictions. The role focuses on creating compliant reporting forms and workflows while collaborating with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to scale solutions.

Ideal candidates will have public safety technology experience, familiarity with forms/configuration, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working in the public safety technology space.
• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions.
• Experience with Forms.io is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Built and configured reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements, helping customers successfully deploy Mark43 in new jurisdictions.
• Partnered with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to understand customer reporting needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Developed configurable forms and reporting workflows that reduce customization while meeting diverse customer requirements.
• Worked with customers to troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges and identify opportunities to improve the product.
• Helped establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices for a brand new team that will play a key role in Mark43's continued growth.
• Wrote and maintained scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation.
• Improved internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale.
