Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to join our Compliance & Reporting customer team. This role helps build a brand-new function that creates configurable reports to meet state and agency requirements, enabling expansion into new markets and customers.

You will collaborate with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering, develop forms and workflows, write scripts in JavaScript and JSON, and help shape engineering standards as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in public safety technology space.
• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions (Forms.io preferred).
• Experience with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Built and configured reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements, helping customers deploy Mark43 in new jurisdictions.
• Partnered with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to translate customer reporting needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Developed configurable forms and reporting workflows that reduce customization while meeting diverse customer requirements.
• Worked with customers to troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges and identify opportunities to improve the product.
• Helped establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices for a brand-new team driving Mark43's growth.
• Wrote and maintained scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation.
• Improved internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale.
