Job summary

Mark43 is hiring a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to join a brand-new team focused on building configurable reports that support expansion into new markets and jurisdictions.

You will work remotely from approved states and collaborate with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering to translate customer reporting needs into scalable technical solutions. The role requires experience with public safety technology and scripting with JavaScript/JSON.

Qualifications

• Experience in public safety technology space is preferred.
• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions.
• Experience with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Built and configured reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements, enabling deployment in new jurisdictions.
• Partnered with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering to translate customer reporting needs into scalable solutions.
• Developed configurable forms and reporting workflows to reduce customization while meeting diverse requirements.
• Troubleshot reporting and compliance challenges with customers and identified product improvements.
• Helped establish engineering standards and best practices for a growing team.
• Wrote and maintained scripts using JavaScript and JSON to support form configuration and automation.
• Improved internal documentation and tooling to simplify compliance reporting.
