Job summary

Travelers seeks an Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property, to train in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while developing skills to manage 1st party property claims. The program lasts 9–12 months and is remote with work at residences or Travelers offices.

Upon completion, you progress toward full claims handling. You may travel to support customers and will acquire an Insurance License and/or UAS Certification as required by law and Travelers policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to convey information clearly.
• Sound judgement and decision-making within authority.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training covering insurance policies and claim processes.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third parties.
• Learn to determine coverage and establish scope of damages for claims.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records in claim management systems.
