Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accounting Coordinator II to join our team in a remote capacity, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones. The role centers on the project billing process, including responding to client inquiries and verifying chargeable time in accordance with established accounting standards and billing policy.

You will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, design processes to improve cash flow, and manage vendor and subcontractor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or commensurate relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience preferred. Any experience in accounting/finance a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Previous experience in the engineering/construction or services industry is required.
• Proven track record and knowledge of working with accounting systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage monthly invoicing process for projects.
• Assist Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Design and implement processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables.
• Review vendor and subcontractor invoices.
• Prepare and submit supporting client invoice documents and forms.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting or commensurate relevant experience
