Job summary

Bowman seeks a Project Accounting Coordinator II to join our team, ideally in the Central or Eastern time zone and able to work remotely. The role focuses on the project billing process, client inquiries, and verifying time charged by staff.

You will collaborate with project managers, improve cash flow, and maintain client relationships while performing monthly invoicing and related close-out activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or commensurate relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience preferred; any accounting/finance experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Prior experience in engineering/construction or services industry required.
• Familiar with accounting systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage project billing, including responding to client inquiries and verifying chargeable time.
• Calculate and issue monthly invoices for T&M and fixed fee services.
• Monitor due dates, draft invoices, and coordinate with Project Managers.
• Process billing edits, issue final invoices, and handle supporting documents.
• Assist with accounts receivable, collections, and cash flow improvement.
• Support annual audit preparation and liaise with operations and accounting functions.
