Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zone. The role supports project cost accounting, reporting, and collaboration across operations and accounting functions.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent, 7+ years of experience, and GAAP knowledge. Deltek Vantagepoint and ERP systems experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Architecture/engineering/construction industry experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Deltek Vantagepoint knowledge preferred; ERP system experience required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting and reporting in adherence to company policies.
• Act as liaison between operations and accounting functions including AP and payroll.
• Aid in reviewing and analyzing key performance metrics for operations management.
