Job summary

Bowman is hiring a Project Accountant to join our team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zone. You will assist with project cost accounting, reporting, and acting as a liaison between operations and accounting functions to ensure accurate data and timely invoicing.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in accounting, 7+ years of project accounting experience, knowledge of GAAP, and familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or ERP systems. CMA/CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• CMA or CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of corporate project accounting experience.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction domains preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Deltek Vantagepoint knowledge preferred; ERP experience required.
• Must have accounts payable full cycle exposure.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting and reporting.
• Act as liaison between operations and accounting functions (AP, payroll, etc).
• Aid in analysis of KPIs to support operations and identify improvements.
• Reconcile and analyze project cost reports for timely reporting.
• Support monthly invoicing, vendor/subcontractor invoices, and collections up to 90 days.
