Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zone. The role focuses on project cost accounting, reporting, and coordinating with operations and accounting functions to drive accurate budgets and timely invoices.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in accounting with 7+ years in corporate project accounting, familiarity with GAAP, and exposure to Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Seven or more years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint preferred; ERP system experience required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting reports in line with accounting policies and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions such as AP and payroll.
• Analyze key performance metrics to support operations management and continuous improvement.
