Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones. The role partners with operations and corporate accounting to manage project cost accounting, reporting, and invoicing processes.

You should have a strong GAAP background, knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint or ERP systems, and at least 7 years of project accounting experience in architecture, engineering, or construction. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CMA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• CMA/CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint preferred; ERP system experience required.
• AP full cycle exposure.
• Mergers and acquisitions a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting and reporting.
• Act as liaison between operations and accounting functions.
• Help analyze key performance metrics to support operations management.
• Identify, research, and resolve project issues.
• Reconcile and analyze project cost reports for timely reporting.
• Assist in monthly invoicing and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare management reporting schedules for collections and AR.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience

CMA or CPA certification

7+ years project accounting experience
