Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones. The role supports project cost accounting, reporting, and liaison with corporate accounting to ensure timely, accurate financials. We value initiative, confidentiality, and a rigorous approach to managing project budgets and invoicing.

Ideal candidates have a CPA/CMA or equivalent and 7+ years in corporate project accounting, with GAAP knowledge and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• CMA or CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Prior project accounting experience within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint preferred, experience with an ERP system required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reports on project cost accounting in adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.
• Act as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions including accounts payable and payroll.
• Aid in review and analysis of key performance metrics to support operations management.
