Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications to support the professional fee coding team and serve as a key resource for coding inquiries.

You will conduct internal audits, provide follow-up education, monitor regulatory updates, and ensure timely implementation within PB coding teams. You will onboard and train staff and contribute to strategic planning to uphold compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• 5 years of coding professional fee records experience.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certifications preferred.
• Epic software experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers; act as SME for billing questions.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify gaps and improve accuracy.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing education on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop training programs to keep coding teams current on regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan short- and long-term coding strategy.
