Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding to ensure accurate billing across ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS. You will perform audits, provide ongoing education, and help standardize coding practices across the organization, while staying abreast of regulatory changes.

The role includes onboarding new staff, developing training programs, and collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives to maintain compliant coding and billing.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and guidelines.
• Understanding of Medicare billing rules and regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits of professional fee coding.
• Provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Lead strategic planning with leadership to maintain compliant coding practices.
• Build relationships across coding teams to standardize practices.
