Job summary

CommonSpirit seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding, to apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and CPT-4 rules across the organization. You will audit, educate, and standardize coding practices, while guiding staff onboarding and ongoing education in risk adjustment and MEAT criteria.

You will monitor regulatory changes, train teams, and partner with leadership on strategic planning to maintain compliant coding and billing operations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Five (5) years of experience coding professional fee records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines for complex billing inquiries.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify documentation gaps and ensure productivity and accuracy.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing education on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deploy specialized training programs to keep coding teams current on health plan requirements and regulatory changes.
• Build strong relationships with coding teams to standardize practices and improve cross-departmental communication.
• Independently manage deadlines, present educational findings, and drive improvements in coding compliance.
