Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to ensure accurate and compliant coding across the organization. You will apply ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS, audit charts, and educate staff on coding practices.

You will onboard new hires, develop ongoing training, stay current with regulatory changes, and collaborate with leaders to improve documentation quality and cross‑department communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification.
• Five+ years coding professional fee records.
• Two years PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Knowledge of Medicare, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, NCCI, and modifiers.
• Strong understanding of professional fee coding rules and guidelines.
• Proficient in Epic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines for complex coding inquiries.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify gaps and track trends.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide education on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep teams current on changes.
• Foster cross‑department communication and build strong professional relationships.
• Manage deadlines, present educational findings, and drive coding compliance improvements.
