Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator Professional Fee to support the professional fee coding team. You will apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classification systems, audit code usage, and educate staff to standardize practices across the organization.

Responsibilities include onboarding new hires, developing training programs, monitoring regulatory updates, and collaborating with leadership on strategic planning to ensure compliant coding and billing practices.

Qualifications

• Two years PB coder audits, education and training.
• Five years experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA certifications.
• Epic experience.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare billing.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.
• Excellent analytical ability to develop and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and regulatory guidelines as SME.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify documentation gaps.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide education on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, MEAT.
• Develop and deploy training programs for evolving health plan requirements.
• Build relationships with coding teams to standardize practices.
• Manage deadlines, present findings, and drive coding compliance improvements.
