Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support its coding team. You will audit ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications, provide education to ensure accuracy, and stay ahead of regulatory changes that affect billing practices.

You will lead onboarding for new staff and develop ongoing training programs, aligning efforts with organizational goals and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare billing guidance
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, NASC/NCCI modifiers

Responsibilities

• Audit internal coding for accuracy and compliance
• Provide onboarding and ongoing education for staff
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams
• Develop and deploy training programs for evolving payer requirements
• Collaborate with leadership to plan short- and long-term coding strategies
