Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will use ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 to support the professional fee coding team, conduct audits, and educate to ensure compliance.

You will onboard staff and develop ongoing education programs while staying aligned with evolving regulatory changes. You will collaborate with leadership on short- and long-term strategic plans to maintain excellence in coding and regulatory billing practices across the

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Five years of coding professional fee records.
• Certifications in CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing rules and guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Epic experience and proficiency with coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines as a subject matter expert.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify gaps, track trends, and ensure accuracy and productivity.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing education on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep coding teams current with changing health plan requirements.
• Build strong relationships with coding teams to standardize practices and improve cross-department communication.
• Independently manage deadlines, present findings, and drive improvements in coding compliance.
