Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support the coding team with ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications. You will conduct audits, provide education, and standardize coding practices across the organization while monitoring regulatory changes.

You will onboard and train staff, collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, and ensure compliant coding and billing practices. Strong knowledge of NCCI, AAPC/CCS certifications, and Epic is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years coding professional fee records; 2+ years PB coder audits, education, and training.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certification required or AHIMA CPC
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, NCCI, modifiers, and related guidelines.
• Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.
• Excellent analytical ability to analyze data and drive improvements in coding compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits of professional fee coding and provide follow-up education.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing education for new staff on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep teams current on health plan requirements and regulatory changes.
