Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Production Support Engineer to provide day-to-day operational support for complex cloud systems. The role emphasizes rapid problem resolution, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable production environments.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in systems engineering, strong Linux/Windows skills, and experience with AWS/Azure, IaC, and CI/CD tooling. This remote position supports Veterans Affairs (VA) and requires U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field, production environments.
• Formal certifications in Red Hat, Microsoft, or AWS are a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level day-to-day operational support of cloud systems.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Document problems and report outages with rapid remediation.
• Maintain documentation and communicate status to users and management.
• Install and maintain computing infrastructure and security measures.
• Collaborate across development, operations, and security teams to ensure production stability.
