Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Product Consultant for Compact Construction Equipment to drive equipment sales and provide deep product expertise across WW Construction & Forestry. The role is based in Phoenix, AZ or Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT with remote work eligibility and travel up to 75%.

You will partner with dealer teams, engage customers on jobsites, and deliver training to field personnel and dealers to ensure the right solutions are recommended and valued by customers.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of compact construction equipment applications and production requirements.
• Hands-on equipment operating experience on real job sites.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with dealers and customers.
• Sales oriented with ability to support qualification and competitive positioning.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Drive compact equipment sales by partnering with dealer teams and TSMs to deliver deep product expertise, spotlight competitive differentiation, and translate real-world application insights into compelling customer value.
• Engage customers on their jobsites to understand production requirements, uncover operational challenges, and recommend the John Deere equipment and solutions that deliver the greatest customer value.
• Support customer demonstrations, dealer events, and field engagements that prove John Deere’s value in real-world applications, accelerate purchase decisions, and build lasting customer confidence.
• Deliver advanced sales training for John Deere field personnel and John Deere dealers equipping them to serve as trusted advisors who understand customer needs, recommend the right solutions, communicate differentiated value, and accelerate sales growth.
• Influence future products and services by translating customer needs, jobsite challenges, and application insights into actionable input for lifecycle, design, and manufacturing teams.
