Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Principal Network Sales Engineer to join our Service Provider Pre-Sales Engineering team. This remote role supports a Tier 1 service provider and favors candidates near Seattle or Kansas City to facilitate travel.

You will lead complex networking opportunities, advise on architecture and solutions, and engage with account managers, product, and engineering teams to drive customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in networking, with a proven track record in a customer-facing pre-sales role.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline required.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences from technical to executive level.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical consulting activities across routing, automation, and cross-segment technologies, partnering with account teams and customers.
• Build relationships with account management, Product Line Management, and Engineering.
• Support customers with requirements, solution design, deep-dive presentations, and PoC tests; assist with RFP responses.
• Become a trusted advisor on product portfolio, automation solutions, and industry trends for your area of focus.
• Speak at internal/external conferences and industry days.
• Connect proposed technical solutions to customers' business requirements up to executive-level decisions.
