Fortra is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our Sales team. You will work with prospective customers to understand technical and business requirements and demonstrate product capabilities, helping design tailored solution proposals that deliver maximum value.

You will participate in webinars, tradeshows, and content development, supporting pre‑sales activities with demonstrations and proofs of concept, while building trusted relationships across regions and contributing to business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with IBM i Operating System.
• Technical, customer-facing software experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and quick learner.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Collaborative, able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Partner with sales reps and collaborate with prospective customers.
• Conduct pain‑discovery to understand customer needs and articulate solutions.
• Develop, present, and deliver high‑impact product demonstrations.
• Own the customer evaluation process including trials and proofs of concept.
• Identify technical objections and craft solutions with the appropriate teams.
• Build and present customer proposals addressing benefits at all levels.
• Estimate professional services effort and develop project plans as needed.
• Represent the company at trade shows and events.
