Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales Systems Engineer for the Santa Clara Valley region. The role focuses on pre-sales support for complex networking solutions across datacenter, campus and branch networks, with a strong emphasis on customer value and solution selling.

The candidate should have 5+ years in technical roles, relevant networking certifications, and the ability to lead in a team-driven, competitive market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering or related field or significant pre-sales experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of technical professional, pre-sales experience.
• Extensive networking experience including routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, security, SASE and Network Management platforms.
• Hold networking certifications (Aruba Professional, Juniper JNCIE, Cisco CCIE, etc).
• Experience in Network Access Security including Aruba Clearpass, Juniper AAS, Cisco ISE, and similar tools.
• Experience in creating solution sales offerings spanning multiple product/service portfolios in a competitive market.
• Effective, articulate communicator with strong customer-facing skills.
• Team player with a hands-on, customer-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Support customers by creating a Technological Roadmap for assigned clients.
• Create and document technology solutions and proposals to meet business needs.
• Lead and support Proof of Concept engagements.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive offerings and position HPE differentiators.
• Collaborate with internal/ external experts to tailor solutions.
• Participate in proposal development and deal closure in complex sales.
• Build relationships based on technical expertise and business acumen.
• Develop relationships with HPE channels and partners to increase sales.
