Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to support our Networking business in the Sacramento/San Francisco area. This role emphasizes presales engagement, solution design, and collaboration with account teams to position advanced networking solutions.

The candidate will develop expertise across Aruba, Juniper, and Cisco networks, participate in POC activities, and pursue certifications to deepen technical capabilities while working in a remote/telework

Qualifications

5+ years in networking infrastructure.
Experience in networking design, installation, services, and support.
Familiarity with network design principles and protocols.
Prior experience with Juniper, Aruba, and Cisco networks.
Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop technical proficiency across the combined HPE Networking portfolio - Aruba wired/wireless, ClearPass, Central, Juniper switching, routing, security, and automation.
Presales engagement: Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs, design solutions, and deliver technical presentations and demos.
Solution design & validation: Create architectures and proposals aligned with customer objectives; lead proof-of-concept (POC) activities.
Enablement & growth: Participate in advanced training programs and certifications to deepen expertise in HPE and Juniper technologies.
Collaboration: Work with internal teams and partners to ensure successful solution positioning and adoption.
