Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Power Delivery - Project Manager to lead high voltage substation and/or transmission line projects, drive schedules, budgets, and client relationships across the South and Southwest.

Based in Houston, Austin, or Fort Worth with optional remote work; travel to client offices as needed. The role requires 12+ years in Power Delivery PM, proven leadership of engineering teams, and deep knowledge of project management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of post-education experience in a project management role within Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering/construction teams for HV/EHV substation or transmission projects.
• Experience with IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, and Contractors.
• Strong budgeting, risk, scheduling, and contract management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV and EHV substation and/or transmission line projects, overseeing design, budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders at all levels and report on progress.
• Lead pursuit activities including Go/No-Go, contract reviews, and risk mitigation.
• May participate in contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Direct technical reviews, QA/QC adherence, and staff guidance.
• Maintain regular client communications including monthly status and scope/budget impacts.
• Oversee project closeout activities and lessons-learned sessions.
