Job summary

Sprezzatura is seeking a Platform Team Engineering Lead to support the VA.gov Platform Management team from a Remote U.S. location.

You will provide technical leadership for integration architecture, API management, platform modernization, and secure, scalable digital services across the VA.gov ecosystem. You will lead enterprise integration efforts with a focus on MuleSoft, API development, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a technical field is required.
Minimum 10 years in engineering, systems integration, or enterprise software delivery.
Experience leading enterprise integration and API development in large-scale environments.
Strong cloud-native, DevOps, CI/CD understanding.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams supporting enterprise integration and API platform initiatives.
Provide technical leadership across platform architecture, integration design, API development, and systems interoperability.
Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable integration solutions for enterprise applications and digital services.
Oversee implementation across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Coordinate with Product Leads, platform teams, SREs, DevOps, and government stakeholders.
