Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Platform Developer for a remote, contract-to-hire engagement. You will own the MuleSoft portfolio, design, develop, and govern APIs and integrations, and drive modernization initiatives.

The role requires hands-on MuleSoft, ESB/API management, Java and REST, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure). You will mentor teammates, collaborate with stakeholders, and apply AI-powered tooling to delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional software development and integration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience across ESB, API management, or integration platforms.
• Experience with Google Apigee API management.
• Proficiency in Java and RESTful API design.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices.
• Proven ownership of complex technical projects from conception to delivery.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Preferred: MuleSoft or integration technology certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft integration solutions and APIs.
• Act as platform owner, ensuring performance, scalability, and governance of the MuleSoft portfolio.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
• Implement and manage Apigee API management solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-powered development tools.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to security standards.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.
