Job summary

Sprezzatura is seeking a Product Manager to lead the VA.gov Platform Infrastructure Services, driving strategy and backlog for reliability, security, and developer experience. You will partner with government stakeholders and VA.gov engineers to translate complex needs into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• 10 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner for technical products, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, enterprise software, or internal engineering services.
• Strong product management skills including strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, backlog management, and Agile delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering teams.
• Technical fluency with cloud infrastructure and modern software delivery concepts.
• Understanding of cloud computing, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, environments, observability, and production operations.
• Experience translating complex technical initiatives into clear product outcomes and priorities.
• Experience using operational metrics, user feedback, and qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions.
• Experience defining KPIs and measuring product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for VA.gov Platform Infrastructure Services.
• Establish clear product goals and measurable outcomes for infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, performance, and developer experience.
• Develop a deep understanding of the infrastructure products and services VA.gov engineering teams depend on.
• Translate engineering needs, operational risks, user research, Platform strategy, and government priorities into actionable product initiatives.
• Balance investments across new capabilities, modernization, reliability, technical debt, security, operational improvements, and developer experience.
• Identify dependencies and sequencing across major infrastructure initiatives.
• Communicate Infrastructure Services priorities and roadmap decisions to Platform leadership, engineering teams, and government stakeholders.
• Treat cloud infrastructure, deployment environments, shared services, and infrastructure tooling as products used by engineering teams across VA.gov.
• Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, engineering leadership, Platform teams, and teams building on VA.gov.
