Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. MuleSoft Platform Developer to own and modernize a MuleSoft portfolio in a remote, contract-to-hire capacity. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, API design, and platform governance in a distributed team.

You will lead integration initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with business stakeholders while exploring AI-powered tooling and Apigee management across cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development and integration experience.
• 5+ years hands-on MuleSoft experience across ESB, API management, or integration platforms.
• Experience with Google Apigee API management.
• Proficiency in Java and RESTful API design.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices.
• Proven ownership of complex technical projects from conception to delivery.
• Problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft integration solutions and APIs.
• Act as platform owner, ensuring performance, scalability, and governance of the MuleSoft portfolio.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
• Implement and manage Apigee API management solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-powered development tools.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to security standards.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.
