Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a pharmacist informaticist to leverage clinical and informatics expertise in optimizing the medication EHR across departments. You will develop and implement system builds, analyze data to improve safety, and collaborate with clinicians to translate practice needs into actionable build requirements.

You will liaison with providers and leadership to evaluate information systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and support facility-wide clinical workflows with automated rules

Qualifications

• Epic Willow certified.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into clear system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional decision-making.
• Proactive identification and communication of risks.
• Ability to work independently while appropriately seeking peer review and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Liaises between clinicians and informatics to support the medication EHR.
• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems to advance evidence-based practice and medication safety.
• Designs, evaluates, and implements new EHR builds to support clinical practice and safety.
• Consults with providers and leadership to evaluate information systems and communicates complex informatics issues.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Creates data analytics to facilitate data review and improve performance.
• Develops automated clinical rules to support patient care.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements.
