Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacist Informatics professional to advance our EHR initiatives within the Pharmacy Applications team. You will serve as a clinical informatics liaison, design and implement EHR builds, and collaborate with clinicians to improve medication safety and workflow efficiency.

Qualified applicants will have Epic Willow certification and at least 3 years of pharmacist experience, with a focus on informatics and cross-functional partnership.

Qualifications

• Exceptional candidates possess strong clinical judgment with systems thinking.
• Epic Willow certification is required.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions into clear system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and communicate risks clearly.
• Ability to work independently while seeking peer review and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leverage pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR as liaison for clinical informatics.
• Develop informatics plans, data analysis, and systems to advance evidence-based practice and safety.
• Design, evaluate, and implement new EHR builds to support clinical practice and patient care quality.
• Consult with providers, leadership, physicians, and clinicians to evaluate information systems and link medication workflows to technology.
• Support informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Assist in creating data analytics for performance review and improvement.
• Develop and implement automated clinical rules supporting patient care.
• Consult with external agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
