Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an informatics pharmacist to leverage clinical and informatics expertise in supporting the medication EHR. The role focuses on building and optimizing EHR configurations to advance evidence-based practice and medication safety.

You will collaborate with clinicians and leadership, translate clinical needs into system builds, and drive improvements in medication workflows through data analytics and rule development. Remote-first with set on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Epic Willow certification is required or preferred.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, and automated dispensing systems.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions into system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and communicate risks clearly.
• Ability to work independently while seeking peer review when needed.

Responsibilities

• Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR and serves as a liaison for clinical informatics.
• Develops informatics plans, analyzes data, and designs systems to improve medication safety and workflows.
• Designs and implements new EHR builds to support clinical practice and patient care quality.
• Consults with providers and leaders to align information systems with medication workflows.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Creates data analytics to facilitate data review and performance improvement.
• Develops automated clinical rules to support patient care.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations through external collaborations.
