Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a pharmacist informatics specialist to leverage clinical expertise with informatics to support the medication electronic health record. You will serve as a liaison between clinicians and IT, designing builds and optimizing medication workflows while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, 3 years of pharmacist experience or PGY1/PGY2 in informatics, EPIC Willow certification, and licensure or reciprocity

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
• EPIC certification within 6 months as required by department.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, labeling, interfaces, and automated dispensing systems.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into system build requirements.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the medication electronic health record using clinical and informatics skills.
• Acts as liaison regarding clinical informatics with clinicians and IT.
• Develops informatics plans, data analyses, and systems to improve medication safety and workflows.
• Designs, evaluates, and implements EHR builds to support clinical practice.
• Consults with providers and leadership to optimize information systems and regulatory compliance.
• Contributes to data analytics and automation rules to enhance patient care.
