Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking a Sales Training Manager to design, develop, and deliver high-impact training programs for the Commercial field sales organization.

The role partners with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Excellence and Compliance to align training strategies with brand objectives and corporate priorities. The STM will onboard new hires, advance existing sales talent, and support training initiatives for NSMs, POA, and field-based programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a field trainer, sales training, or equivalent role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting onboarding and sales capability development.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive training curricula for new hire onboarding (Phase 1 and Phase 2).
• Lead end-to-end facilitation of New Hire Training (NHT).
• Develop and deliver training content for POA and National Sales Meetings and other learning initiatives.
• Incorporate adult learning principles and experiential learning to drive measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Leadership and PRC to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Partner with Field Trainers and First Line Sales Leaders to reinforce training in the field.
