Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. seeks a Sales Training Manager to design, develop, and deliver high-impact training across the Commercial field sales organization. You’ll partner with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Leadership and Compliance to align programs with brand objectives and corporate priorities.

The role supports onboarding of new hires, enhances ongoing field performance, and drives strategic learning initiatives for NSMs, POAs, and field training both virtually and in person.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 4+ years in biotech/pharma.
• Minimum 3 years field sales experience.
• Minimum 1 year in field trainer or sales training role.
• Experience supporting onboarding and sales capability development.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver onboarding curricula covering product knowledge, disease education, selling skills, and market access.
• Lead end-to-end New Hire Training and certify readiness for field expectations.
• Develop training content for POA and National Sales Meetings and related initiatives.
• Apply adult learning principles and ensure measurable outcomes.
