Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking a Sales Training Manager to design, develop, and deliver high-impact training programs for the Commercial field sales organization. You will partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, and Compliance to align training with brand objectives and corporate priorities.

The role supports onboarding of new hires, enhances sales capability of tenured staff, and leads trainings for NSM, POA, and field initiatives, in both virtual and in-person settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in biotech/pharma
• 3+ years field sales experience
• 1 year in field trainer or sales training role
• Experience supporting onboarding and sales capability development

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive training curricula for onboarding (Phase 1 and Phase 2), including product knowledge, disease state education, selling skills, business acumen, and market access
• Lead end-to-end facilitation of New Hire Training (NHT), ensuring readiness, certification, and alignment to field expectations
• Develop and deliver training content for POA and National Sales Meetings, and other learning initiatives
• Incorporate adult learning principles, experiential learning, and capability-based frameworks to drive measurable outcomes
