Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to join our Pharmaceutical Ingredients team. You will build long-term, value-based relationships with accounts and penetrate them for further business, while providing technical support to increase overall value to customers.

This home-based role covers territories including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, with preference for candidates in the Houston or Dallas areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in the Pharmaceutical Ingredients industry.
• Experience with APIs and Excipients valued.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred).
• Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.
• Strong business savvy with manufacturers, distributors, and end-users knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Improve Univar's position within each account using consultative selling at all levels within the account.
• Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to grow the territory.
• Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our value to the customer.
• Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline.
• Set pricing and service levels, maintain and coordinate customer quotations or provide necessary information to allow local branches to do so.
• Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues.
