Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager for our Pharmaceutical Ingredients team. This home-based role covers Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, with preference for Houston or Dallas, and requires building long-term value-based relationships and penetrating accounts for additional business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in the Pharmaceutical Ingredients industry.
• Experience with APIs and Excipients valued.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Technical Science or Chemistry background preferred.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account.
• Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to grow the size of the territory actively.
• Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer.
• Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline.
• Set pricing and service levels, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations or provide necessary information to allow local branches to do so.
• Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues.
